Happy Fourth...

We definitely took it easy today. Daddy had been working nights all this week, so he didn't even wake up until the afternoon. So, that put an end to our plans of checking out the Fourth of July parade in Downtown Fairfax. Instead, we worked on cleaning up the house and did yard work in preparation for the girls' birthday party tomorrow. After dinner we decided to head downtown for the fireworks. We drove to Daddy's work at the Navy Yard and parked on the roof of the parking garage. From that vantage point we could not only see the fireworks on the Mall, but all around VA, MD, and DC--in every direction! It was very cool. Plus we missed all the traffic and crowds ; ).
