Cheer...

Logan has enjoyed cheering with her friends from school for the boys in her class.  Even though they haven't won a game this season, it has been fun!  Most of the girls on our squad are cheering for the first time, but they've all done really well!  We had another home game today...might be our last...so I wanted to get some group shots.

Cheering for Basketball...

Today was our first basketball game to cheer for.  This has been quite a different experience for Logan and I...we are used to football (and cute cheer uniforms.)  In fifth grade the girls can cheer for their school's boys basketball team.  It is pretty neat that we know all the kids participating and all the families.  We have a fairly large squad (14), and there has never been a practice with everyone there.  So, it's been quite a challenge for me to teach the dance and all the cheers.  But, I think they did pretty well today...hopefully this will be a super fun season!

Homecoming Parade...

Tonight was the high school homecoming parade.  Like always the little league football players and cheerleaders march in it.  I turned out to be a really nice evening, and everything went smoothly!

Cheer Expo...

Another successful cheer expo is in the record books!  Our squad did great with their half time routine.  This year their dance was to Miranda Cosgrove's "Dancing Crazy" and Cobra Starship's "You Make Me Feel".  I think the crowd loved them ;)

The Meanest Wife Ever...

Yep, that's me!  What does it take to be called the meanest wife ever, you ask?  Well, for starters you have to be very unsupportive of your husband's marathon training.  Then once he completes it, you don't compliment him nearly enough.  To top it all off, once he is extremely sore (and limping around so pathetically) you make him drive your daughters to an away game nearly an hour away--hours after running 26.2 miles, and during a Notre Dame game.  That's it!  But, Barry got his revenge on me.  Instead of bringing a regular folding chair--or sitting in the bleachers like other parents--he insisted on bringing his reclining anti-gravity chair so he could lie around during the game.  It was so embarrassing!  And, to make it worse...it was too heavy for him to lift, so I had to carry it.

First Game of the Season and School Open House...

The girls had their first game to cheer for this season.  We've been with the same team for four years now, and it looks like it's going to be another long, win-less season :(  They were shut out today, but the girls did great!

Go 5th grade cheer...

Right after the game we had to rush to school to drop off all the girls school supplies and meet their new teachers.  Look what we gave the teachers...it's never too early to start sucking up ;)

S'mores!

Cheer Pictures...

We had cheer photos this evening.  I didn't make Barry go, so unfortunately I didn't get a whole team photo (with our two awesome coaches).  But, the girls looked great!

Last Game of the Season...

Today wrapped up another cheer/football season.  Although our team didn't win a single game this year, we still had fun.

Pretty in Pink...

Immediately after Mass this morning the girls had an away game.  Today the girls were donning their pink ribbons for Brest Cancer Awareness Month.

Cheer-ful...

Today was parents appreciation day at the game. So, instead of going up to South Bend for our anniversary (like we've done for the past couple of years)...we were at a fourth grade little league football game...yea! Oh, I'm kidding...it was fun. It was a really nice day--almost too hot. Funny, since last week we were freezing.

Aww...look how cute they are...

Cold Day for Cheering...

It was soooo cold today for the game. Good thing Nani finished the hats she made the girls...so cute. Afterward we picked up lunch at Maid-Rite...so good!

Homecoming Parade...

Tonight the girls walked in the high school homecoming parade. It only rained on us a little, but the girls had fun. They actually got to throw candy to the crowd this year...watch out! Afterward we went over to one of the girl's house for pizza and the annual cookie cake!

Game at the High School...

Today our "home" game was actually at the high school, rather than the junior high. It was pretty cool for the girls to get to cheer there. Even Maren participated today. Although she was representing the Bears!

Go Bears!

Cheer Expo...

The annual cheer expo is one of my favorite nights of the season. It's super-fun to see all the other squad's dances, and see how hard everyone has worked. It's also awesome when our girls put on the best routine...thanks to their awesome coaches ; ). (That's funny because I'm one of the coaches.) But--seriously--they were great!

Cheering at the High School...

We had a super-busy day today. After spending the afternoon at the pool, we ran home for a quick dinner and shower before going over to the high school for cheer. The entire little league got to practice and cheer with the high schoolers. The girls had a great time. Afterward we rushed over to a friend's birthday party. Busy, busy, busy.
