White Christmas with Girl Scouts...

This afternoon Logan's Girl Scout troop went downtown to see the musical White Christmas.  Coincidentally, we had our own tickets for the exact same performance.  It was a really good show.  Now the girls want to watch the movie.  Afterward everyone went out to eat at the Old Spaghetti Warehouse.  Fun times!

Wicked!

Two and a half years ago when Wicked came to town, only Logan and Carsyn were old enough to go.  This time Maren was so excited to get to see it.  And, Logan and Carsyn loved it this time, even more than the last time.  It is a great show!

Jersey Boys...

Tonight Barry and I went downtown to see the Broadway touring production of Jersey Boys.  I cannot believe this was my first time seeing this show!  It was so good.  I loved it...loved the music!  If you haven't seen it (or even if you have), go see it!

Les Miz...

When given the choice between the Nutcracker or Les Miserables...Barry said he'd rather stick a pencil in his eye than go to the ballet (again).  So, last night we got all fancy (well, the girls did anyway) and headed downtown.  Since the girls didn't have school yesterday, we weren't rushing around like crazy people (okay we were), and we actually got there with plenty of time to spare.  This was the girls' second time seeing this show, and I think they enjoyed it even more this time.  Of course, I could see it a hundred more times...it's my second favorite musical.  What a fun night!

The Lion King...

We took the girls to see the Lion King today. We had a quick lunch at Panera after Mass, and then headed downtown. They were so excited, and the show was awesome. We even ran into Logan's third grade teacher. "Hakuna Matata!"

Such a Fun Sunday...

After Mass this morning we took the girls downtown to see a stage production of Beauty and the Beast. Daddy had drill this weekend, so Logan got to take her friend Meghan again. The girls had a great time. Carsyn loved it. Even though it was a little different than Disney's version, she still loves the story. What a fun and lovely day!

Les Misérables...

Right after Mass this morning we drove to Columbus to see the the national touring production of Les Misérables. The girls were really looking forward to it. A few months ago we were in the car and decided to listen to the musical soundtrack instead of letting them watch a DVD--change things up a bit. They loved it--they acted like they'd never heard it before, but that's completely not true. It was so funny because Carsyn insisted that Cosette sounded just like Pocahontas when she sang. Well, when we got home I googled it and found out that it was the same person--crazy. I also found out that Les Miz was coming to Columbus, so we got tickets! It was fabulous, and the girls had a great time.

Ready for Mass...

Outside the theatre...

Ironically, when we got home the Les Miz 25th anniversary special from London was on PBS. The girls and I actually watched the entire second act; they were mesmerized. Did I mention that Nick Jonas was playing Marius? It was pretty cool.
