Possum Creek...

We had pretty decent weather today, so after Mass we wanted to get outside and do something fun. We ended up taking the girls to one of the city Metro Parks. They had fun checking out some of the animals in the farm area. But, they were a little scared of the turkeys that kept chasing us around with their feathers all ruffled.

Carsyn took a break from screaming long enough to take this picture...

Sunday Fun...

The girls were looking spectacular this morning for Mass. It's so nice when we don't have to wear big heavy coats, boots, and hats to church. We're so ready for Spring!

Presidents Day Weekend...

Logan has been working on her President project for a couple of weeks now, and it's due on Tuesday. Luckily for her she got President Lyndon Johnson. It's lucky because that is one of the three sitting Presidents that her great-grandpa Tipton had the pleasure of meeting. Also since she has learned all about it LBJ, we thought it would be neat to show her the actual Air Force One that he was sworn in on. It's right here at the Air Force Museum hanger, so after Mass we headed over there. This was our first time visiting both the museum and the hanger, and we were very impressed. It's very cool to have first-hand access to history.

Dressin' It Down...

The girls LOVE dress-down days at school. But, they probably would rather not dress alike...too bad, girls--mommy's in charge!

Dinner at BD's...

This has been one of our busiest days. We've been going non-stop. Right after school Logan and Carsyn had their regular activities. As soon as Carsyn got home from dance, we had to hurry (again) to go out to a fundraising dinner for the girls' school at BD's Mongolian Grill. It was a long day, but we had fun.

Ready for dinner...

Starring Maren...

We had such a rushed and busy morning, but everyone got to where they were going in one piece. The two big girls and I had to be at school early for a pep rally, so Maren had to go in super-early to her school with Nana. After we finished up the assembly, I hurried over to Maren's school because her class was preforming at Chapel. Maren wanted to look extra-fancy, so she asked for curls and a cute outfit. What a doll!

Valentine's Day...

Happy Valentine's Day! All three girls had their class Valentine's parties at school today, so they were really excited. Logan and Carsyn were extra-excited because they were allowed to "spice up" their uniforms with some red or pink. Maren and I had fun in first grade for their party. We also stopped in third grade for a second. The girls couldn't wait to dump out all their treats on the kitchen table and sort through everything they received.

Saturday or Something...

Now that daddy is drilling once of month for the Reserves, our eventful weekends are considerably fewer. Also, since he's working during the day we've been going to Saturday evening Mass on those weekends so he can go with us. Needless to say, we didn't do anything exciting this weekend. But, the girls were looking good for church.

Not-So-Super Sunday...

Superbowl, schmuperbowl. The Bears aren't in it, so who cares! Actually I'm hoping that both teams lose ; ) The girls certainly aren't interested in watching it. But, they did look super-cute for Mass this morning...

Skating Party...

One of Logan's friends had a skating party for her birthday. Carsyn and I tagged along. I certainly couldn't resist lacing up a pair of skates and showing off skating around the rink a few times. It was a blast. It really brought back memories of my old skating days at St. Chris--I mean, of course it was all about the girls ; )

Catholic Schools Week, Revisited...

So Catholic Schools week was cut a little short with two snow days this week (for anyone counting, that makes six this school year!) Incidentally, it was also Carsyn's week to be "Star Student". She was a little bummed that it turned into such a short run. Thursday I had lunch with Carsyn. She requested Panera's grilled cheese, even though it was grilled cheese day at school. We had fun. Friday was "Blue and Gold" day. The girls looked super-cute. Maren and I also got to have lunch with Logan.

Happy Chinese New Year...

Maren wore the same outfit that Logan wore for Chinese New Year a few years ago. I guess it's our go-to Chinese-inspired dress. Oh well, Maren didn't mind. In fact, I think she thought she rocked it ; )

Catholic Schools Week...

It's the kids' favorite week of the school year (besides Spring Break), and most likely the least favorite of the teachers. That's because the students are often out-of-uniform with tons different activities going on. Today was "Movin' Monday". The kids were supposed to wear clothes representing their favorite sports teams. Don't Logan and Carsyn look so cute in their Bears apparel?!

Just Another Sunday...

Nothing particularly fascinating to report, just our typical Sundays...Mass, doughnuts, picking up the house, etc. Pretty boring, especially since there's no football on today.

Purse Party...

All three girls were super excited to go to their friend Lilli's birthday party today. It was a purse-making party at Jenna Claire at The Greene. They had such fun picking out the fabric and ribbons for theirs' and their dolls' matching handbags. Of course they also loved hanging out with friends and eating cake too.
