since we went to mass last night, we thought it would be fun to take a day trip to the sequoias today. well, it ended up being not-so-fun. we didn't get a very early start to begin with. we also wanted to try a different way. normally we just drive straight east until we're there, but we had heard that it's prettier if you go up toward fresno and then enter the park from the other side. well, it took forever. everyone was so tired and in a bad mood. our little day trip turned into an entire day in the car. we arrived at our favorite picture spot just in time for sunset, so we got a few good pictures in. but, we spent over six hours in the car. yikes...daddy says he never wants to go again.
